The Xbox version suffers from an inconsistent framerate and micro-stuttering because of this backgrounds and foregrounds are choppy. Lighting effects are superb and controls are tight. The framerate is smooth at 60FPS with nary a drop. The PS4 version seems to be the lead platform and most optimized by Granzella. Having played all 3 versions of R-Type Final 2 to the end I can give my impressions on each: If Granzella continues to support Final 2 with more stages they could effectively include the entirety of Final 1, Also more retro stages would be nice and would serve as a nice alternative to playing the older games (i.e using the R-Type III only ships on R-Type III stages for example) R-Type Dimensions EX is on modern platforms and in the original mode are as close as we'll possibly get to the Arcade original R-Type 1 and 2, there is also an alternative 3D graphics mode, but mainly the Arcade classics are the main highlight.

Super R-Type is also on the SNES which is a sort of mix of both R-Type 1 and 2 stages. R-Type Leo is different from the other games but still excellent, released in Arcade only. The original R-Type Final was a PS2 release, physical only as far as I'm aware.

Yeah the only way to play Delta as far as I'm aware is either PSOne Classic via PS3 or Vita which unfortunately was delisted back in 2012, a physical copy of the PSX original, or by ripping a PSX disc and playing it on a PSX emulator.
